A Wide Range of Rowing Challenges:

From our floating dock in Sausalito, rowers fan out into some of the most varied, challenging and scenic rowing waters anywhere. This is open-water rowing at its best; at times smooth and fast, at others swirling and tricky. You choose your route to find the workout you want. On this ever-changing bay, the only constant is exceptional exercise in an exceptional setting.

Some Specifics:

The rowing we do is properly called sculling, almost all of it is in singles, and is further categorized as open water or coastal rowing. We are not a “crew team” with a set schedule of practices, but rather a club of individual rowers sharing facilities, equipment and coaching services.  OWRC members row on their own schedule,  for the distance and time that suits them, with the guidance and aid of our staff and coaches.  All of our rowers are adults, or older teenagers accompanied by an adult. We do not offer youth rowing.

Our coaches have taught hundreds to row, and will certify experienced rowers to use club equipment. They also provide clinics and custom training to help our rowers develop their skills.

To learn more contact us at (415) 332-1091 or owrc@owrc.com or drop by the boathouse any morning between 7am and 1pm (seven days a week). We’d love to meet you!
